Access requests

Pro feature

Requires a MIA Pro subscription.

Access requests let you handle access openings and closings in self-service, through a secure link — without everything resting on the administrator.

How it works

  1. You share a secure request link (for example with a manager).
  2. The requester identifies themselves by email, then fills in the form: person concerned, request type (open or close access), applications, desired dates.
  3. You receive the request and approve or reject each application.
  4. On approval, MIA executes the opening or closing — immediately or on the scheduled date — through the relevant applications.

Joiners detected by the leader application automatically create an access request to complete, which you handle the same way.

Good to know

  • The request link is single-use and expires after a delay.
  • A request can cover an opening (onboarding) as well as a closing (offboarding) of access.
