Applications & access inventory
MIA connects to your SaaS applications to build and maintain the access inventory of your teams: who has access to what.
Two kinds of applications
- Programmatic applications — MIA talks to the service's API (Slack, GitHub, Google Workspace…). It syncs the access list automatically and can, depending on the service, open and close access remotely.
- Manual applications — for an application with no API integration: you create a simple record to track it in your inventory. No automatic sync.
Connecting an application
From Applications → Add an application, pick the service in the catalog, then authenticate:
- OAuth — you're redirected to the service to authorize MIA in one click.
- API token / credentials — you paste a key or credentials. The steps are described on each application's page.
- Manual — you choose the application name to create a tracking record.
Synchronization
At regular intervals — and on demand — MIA queries each programmatic application and reconciles your inventory. Based on your domain name:
- an account whose email matches your domain becomes an access of the relevant user (created automatically if automatic creation is enabled);
- the other accounts are flagged as anomalies, to be handled.
Free-plan limit
The free plan lets you connect up to 5 programmatic applications. Manual applications are unlimited and don't count toward this limit. To go further, see Unlimited programmatic applications.
