Getting started

On your first sign-in, MIA guides you through setting up your organization. One step is essential: entering your domain name.

Entering your domain name

MIA asks for your organization's domain name — for example example.com. It's the key that lets MIA automatically recognize your colleagues among the accounts found across your applications: an address like jane@example.com is identified as one of yours.

Automatic user creation

On the same screen, enable the Automatic user creation option (off by default). During your applications' syncs, MIA:

  • automatically creates a user for each account whose email matches your domain;
  • flags the other accounts as anomalies, to be handled manually.

This creation happens as syncs run, not immediately after onboarding.

Changing these settings

The domain name and the automatic-creation option remain available under Settings → General.

WARNING

Once users or anomalies exist, the domain name can no longer be changed (to preserve the consistency of your inventory). The automatic-creation option, however, stays editable at any time. Only one domain can be configured.
