OpenAI is an artificial-intelligence provider, the company behind ChatGPT and the OpenAI API. MIA connects to OpenAI to inventory the users of your organization and manage their access.

Authentication type and prerequisites

Authentication type — Admin API key

Prerequisites

Be an Owner of the OpenAI Platform organization and have an Admin API key. A standard project API key cannot manage organization users.

Connection steps

1. Open the OpenAI Platform admin keys page: https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization/admin-keys.
2. Click Create new admin key.
3. Give the key a clear name, for example MIA Integration.
4. Create the key, then copy the secret immediately: it will not be displayed again.
5. In MIA, open Applications → Add an application, search for OpenAI, enter the Admin API key, then click Connect.
