MongoDB Atlas application

MongoDB Atlas is MongoDB's cloud platform for managing databases and related services. MIA connects to it to inventory the users of your organization and manage their access.

Authentication type and prerequisites

Authentication type — API keys with HTTP Digest

Prerequisites

Be an administrator of a MongoDB Atlas organization and have an organization API key with the permissions required to read, invite and remove users. If an access list is enabled, MIA's IP address must be allowed.

Connection steps

1. In MongoDB Atlas, open your organization, then go to Access Manager → Applications.

2. Create an API key and copy the Public Key and Private Key. The private key is shown only once.

3. Retrieve the Organization ID from the organization settings or from the Atlas organization URL.

4. In MIA, open Applications → Add an application, search for MongoDB Atlas, enter the Organization ID, Public Key and Private Key, then click Connect.
